HTSPipe Pipeline Model
The HTSPipe pipeline model is a steady-state pipeline simulator that was developed to design and manage gathering systems. It models gas wells using the back-pressure equation and has proven to be a reliable tool for modeling the relationships between gas wells, gathering networks and compressor stations. Developed in the early 1980's, it was one of the first pipeline simulation programs to utilize a graphical interface. The user draws the pipeline network schematic on the screen and all results are displayed on the schematic. Pipeline segments are color coded to show pressure drop and problem areas. The program has been enhanced to do many other tasks related to network analysis, such as 1.) Calculate mileage between transportation points and fuel used to transport gas for one point to another; 2.) Manage Firm Transportation commitments to make sure contracts can be honored.
The HTSPipe pipeline model is a proven, low cost, user-friendly solution for any company that wants to get into the world of pipeline simulation without spending a lot of money. As with all HTS software, it doesn't cost to use it because it quickly pays for itself, many times over.
